£20,000 To Invest

hi, wonder if anyone could give me some adveci what to do with £20,000 i have in my current account after remortgaging for an extension. it will take around a year before i need to pay out all the cash i think, but not sure where to put it till then. i just opened a mini-ISA with NS&I so that takes care of £3000, what should i do with the rest???

    Hi fraggle and welcome to the site :).

    IceSave @ 5.45% variable with easy access will give you all the flexibility you need.

    If you are sure you won't need it for a year then Ango Irish Bank are doing a 5.85% Fixed One Year Bond.

    Or Derbyshire BS may have the answer. A 5.75% Fixed rate Bond that matures at the end of November 2007.

    You shouldnt invest the money given the short term involved but stick with savings accounts instead. RI has listed some for you.
