    Good morning everyone,

My attempt to give blood yesterday failed! I passed all the questions & the iron test, but when they actually came to take blood, they told me my veins are too small :rotfl:
So for now that list item will not be crossed off :( They said I can go back in a year & try again as apparently the size of your veins vary throughout your life, & they didn't want to put me off by hurting me by trying now!

DNMS - I am up for it & raring to go today!!!
Josie - There's no shame in Mario! I'm actually quite jealous you got to play it lol.

    Today I have/will:-
    • [STRIKE]Not using the car at all today [/STRIKE]- cycled to work & will cycle home too, & getting a lift from a friend later to go to our running destination
    • [STRIKE]Go for a run later, I WILL lose weight if I keep up all this exercise![/STRIKE]

    • [STRIKE]Leftovers for lunch[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Heating off for as long as possible[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Make use of free coffee/water/milk [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Charge phone at work [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Log calories on free app[/STRIKE]

    Morning !!!

The sun is shining and the birds are singing :D

Thanks for starting the thread ms.

Well my lists for today involve sorting out money for the garage, blumming exhaust decided to fall off the car. So were looking at a bill for at least £210.
So the purse strings are now tighter than scrooges backside.

Here's my list for the day

I'm not quite so bouncy yet, but it is nearly Friday......

    Today:
    - check online banking
    - tea (using up mince form the fridge)
    - heating off :D:D (well its set to 16.5 as its still frosty here on the mornings)
    - lunches - so scavenging form the fridge or lo curry
    - go to course (already paid for)
    - check one poll, survey network and survey head
    - sow some seeds
    - apply for jobs opnline (saves the price of a stamp)
    - see if Amazon vouchers so i can get OH's central heating book.
    - go to physio
-make some bread when i get back (been so slack with that)
    - hang washing on line :D

    Have a good day all!
    xxx
  • Morning everyone, hope you are all good today! It's my birthday today (YAY!!!) so I'm enjoying a well deserved day off from work but still going to be money saving!

    Today I will:-
    • Be going to the seaside and taking a picnic :)
    • Return my cardigan I bought the other day as too big
    • Check online banking
    • Start off DMP with CCCS as I'm struggling to get through to creditors by myself!
    • Have my favourite dinner of spag bol at home for my bday dinner instead of going to an expensive restaurant!
    • Go to the pub for a nice little non-alcoholic drink to save the pennies
Hope you all have lovely days! :D x

    Morning all

Thanks to DNMS for starting us off.

Happy Birthday to Compliments have a great day by the sea. happy-birthday-054.gif

Last day of the week for me. :j Got some good news yesterday, I have an interview for uni course. However, its next week. So all my plans for the week have gone out of the window to allow to have some preparation time for that. Would mean a whole shift in career, scary and exciting. Quite mad that they only gave us a weeks notice as it made train booking more expensive. Anyway onwards and upwards (hopefully).

    Today I will:
    Walk to work
    Check bank balances
    Check surveys
    Charge ipod at work
Take full advantage of free food at lunchtime
    Walk home instead of gym
    Prep talk for uni interview
    Read around for interview
Skype friend for tips with interview
Quick tidy as DH home tonight :j

As you can see, interview is going to dominate my time. Just want to make sure I am prepared. Have a great day everyone.

    xx

Tis very exciting, hoping doing do teacher training. The uni have had my application for ages, so glad for it to be finally moving on. Just hoping that I can read enough to feel confident for the interview. Fingers crossed.

    Hi everyone

Hubby got a job! :j :j Sooooo pleased. Just waiting to get system access and he can start asap. Then someone else emailed after seeing his CV about a vacancy they have. Can these jobs be like buses and two will come at once?! :D

    In other news:
    • Had to book hotel for parents with money I didn't have (overdraft!) but know I'll get it back and did get a good deal, rather than not paying up front and getting worse deal, IYSWIM
    • Porridge brekkie
    • Leftovers for lunch
    • Free biscuit in work  All becoming too common an occurrence!
    • Emailed friend and sis so won't need to call
    • Call halifax re 0% for 9 months offer :T
    • Tidy tidy clean clean
    • Pack for wknd away - staying with friend, catching the bus… Hopefully quite DFWesque :)
    • Buy friend a little pressie as I've kept the tea cosy I knitted :rotfl:
    • Yoga and take refillable water bottle
    Happy bday compliments! :)

    Oooh, sounds fab Rocks! :D

  • Today so far I've sorted cards to sell at care home (work) in a sample sale this afternoon. Not sure they'll get it or buy any, but it makes a change.

Had a friends little girl here this am as she's got bad earache and friend needed to get things from work.

Helping do make up for school play and might take DS along with me and we can watch (Fiddler on The Roof) - free entertainment!!

Actually - that's the thing I'm struggling with CCCS have said my entertainment busget is 0 and I really want my son to do things (and go swimming - costs about 7 pounds to go if I drive, or 8 if I walk to the nearest) and not feel like he's missing out - any idea's very welcome!

My DH is prep'ing for 2nd round interview - he's got to do 2 presentations. I'll be listening to what he's got so far sometime today.

I'm going to take a look at onepoll, I'm really new to this and looking for any (legal!!) ways to make a bit extra.
