When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :D

Morning lovely peeps :wave: hope you're all blinking fantastic on this misty morning (ooooo can feel a bob marley song coming on now I've said misty morning! :p) woooooo hooooooo we have made it to Thursday and its a hop skip and a jump to the weekend now - I am so up for getting my stuff done & having a good day today while I'm at it! who is with me????

    Good morning, all! Bright and early I see.

    thanks for starting us off, DNMS
    glad you enjoyed your duvet day, pix!
    are you doing anything exciting to your hair, mogs?

    My dad is coming to visit today, the first time he's visited me in the 7 years I've lived abroad! We blitzed the house as hes a bit of a clean freak, Im just hoping he doesnt spend his whole visit passively aggressively cleaning the place! It will either be a very cheap or very expensive weekend, we'll see.

    Today I:
    • will walk to work
    • eat packed lunch - soup, already at the office
    • charge phone at work
    • dinner from stores and meal plan
    • post up meal plan on OS board
    • see if anyone at the office can certify a copy of my passport for AMEX
    • contract? maybe? please?

    Hope everyone has a good day.
    Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
