    Have you considered a "Notebook"?

I've just bought the missus a Toshiba Satellite R630-141 (1.5KG) to replace the 4 year old Satellite A210-11K (2.7KG) that we both lug about from time to time, and boy am I impressed with it.

It has the Intel Core i5-460M CPU (2.8 GHz), 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD (SSD already lined up to replace it), DVD Multi Burner, Wi-Fi (wireless n), Bluetooth, Gigabit LAN, HDMI out, the whole lot.

What really got me though was the battery life.
Toshiba claim up to 8 hours 55 min, so I automatically halved that figure straight away.

I got a genuine 6 hours 3 mins out of her machine today on battery alone, using Wi-Fi all day long, short Bluetooth session for 20 mins or so, watched a few YouTube vids, general browsing, e-mail, etc running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Well worth looking at if you want a fully loaded rocketship that weighs !!!!!! all and can keep going on one battery all day long.
Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.
