SKY Vouchers

Hi
SKY are driving me nuts!
I "recommended a friend" to take SKY last November.
After numerous phone calls and emails I eventually recieved my £50 M & S voucher in February. My Mum, who was the "friend" is still waiting for her voucher. I won't bother listing the phone calls and emails I've made to SKY but wondered if they just hoped people would give up chasing them and so saved them having to pay up.
The people I get on the phone are very pleasant but don't seem to help much. The last girl I spoke to said some people had waited up to a year!
Is this common?

Should be max 30-45days as per there own terms and conditions, you may need your "friend" to be proactive as you mat not be able to action any thing on their account.

I work as a CSA for sky and i have to admit..............theyre reccommend a friend system is rather shoddy especially if you have got through a retailer or a 3rd party.

A new online system comes in from now on i think but if your going to get reccommend a friend make sure the sales person puts a not on the system of it and be there with your friend when they order over the phone.

just out of curiosity did you order it over the phone and if you did do you live in a flat or an estate with a communual dish if you do live in any of these you are probably not going to get these vouchers directly from sky because since they cant install direct on these they just pass you to a 3rd party installer which makes any previous conversation with the agent moot and you have to mention recommend a friend all over again and even then 3rd party might not do it at all.................once again the system and T&Cs are shoddy and i personally join or reccomend a friend just based on getting the vouchers cause if you do theres about 15-25% chance you wont get your vouchers unfortunately guys and on a side note theres nothing us guys can do on the phone for you we have to send a form away and we have no way to chase it up so you will rarely get a resolution over the phone :(
  • On coming across Sky offer of £100 voucher for online upgrade to HD Pack for an existing customer, as mentioned by weekly MSE email around middle of April, 2011, I applied to rejoin on 26th April 2011. As I did not receive the voucher, I called Sky to look into the matter.

In response to my query, Sky informed me that there was no record on my account to this effect, so that I will not be entitled to the voucher.

In these circumsatnces, I feel that Sky is playing game with their customers.

Has anybody suffered this type of cheating?
