problems getting a mobile on a contract.

Im having troubles getting a mobile contract. I broke my htc desire and been quoted 200ish to get it fixed (dropped down the toilet) so thought about just getting a contract (original htc was on pay as you go)

Any places to go or any ideas on how to get a contract? Im not looking to knock the service provider ect.

Well what are the 'troubles' you are having? Failing credit checks or what? Who have you tried with? How many minutes etc do you need? What networks give you no signal where you will be using the phone the most?
