Thank you all I really wish I didnt know and true maybe f1 hasnt done it and was mad frustrated I dont know.
I feel like I fuelled the fire to start with as I metioned I saw them in the travel agent looking for holidays when I was in there booking our holiday, but all I said I was I saw them 1st time I had properly met him and he seems a nice guy f1 kind of flipped and said must have money to burn if she can afford holidays abroad and went on ranting I was shocked tbh, I did say to f1 I really hope you had all your facts straight before you did it, I dont agree with benefit fraud and if f2 is up to no good then it is on her head. I can understand where f1 is coming from she is a single parent has a highly paid job nice house and car.
I have told f1 I dont want to know anything about it and to keep me out of it dh said its best to leave well alone and leave them to it the dwp and council will sort it out if nothing is going on all will be well

I am not condoning fraud at all, I'm just saying it's crap if all she's done is found someone and has him stay over and he's good with the kids etc, and someone's jumped straight on the phone.

A lot of them are well wise to the exact letter of the law and doubtless he will 'live' at his mum's, or a similar address ..... the fact he probably stays with his gf all the time is nothing!

Zoe, I think you're too soft - the Benefit system is not there to give claimants a 'private income' while a partner works or also claims!

So casbah when F2s benefits get stopped the money will get given straight to her local hospital then will it?!!! By the way i bloody detest true fraudsters but the reason i think casbahs comment was a stupid one is because the money for hospitals comes from a totally different pot. The health budget.

The point i was TRYING to make is that the money will not get taken off of her and then given STRAIGHT to the hospital.

When people like op knows that her freind is frauding the system and shares it why do people try to justify it, if they had said her freind is living with her bf but claiming as a single parent she would of got slated and told to shop her freind but someone comes clean and people try to say are you sure have you got it right this is a perfect case of benefit fraud if ever i saw it wake up people and dont try to make it sound ok

But I never said that I was merely pointing out the enormity of the problem. F2 as an individual incident doesn't make much of an impact, but when the are lots doing it then it does.
I,too hate people that take things they haven't earnt, I have been a single parent for 25 yrs ( have more than one child) and have always worked and supported us, only because I wanted my children to become confident, self reliant people!

F2 is entitled to a relationship, but she should do it fairly.
