Wait a minute, what do you mean you can't afford the deposit, you live in Oldham not Chelsea :)
i'm sure that he can but he doesn't want a 90% mortgage or he doesn't want a 2 bed house.

it's i "can't afford a house because i only want to buy with 50% deposit and only buy a 4 bedroom detached house."

This link http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12835656 seems to confirm it is new pensioners but I suppose we will have to wait until green paper to be sure.

I can't really understand why people who have contracted out and invested that contribution elsewhere should receive a similar amount to those who have contracted in. There is something there that is not being told.

    What a strange argument.

Thats not too far from the truth but slightly exaggerated.

    More or less.

The truth is I don't want to buy a 2 bed terrace in a scummy part of town.

Due to my current position in life (wanting to start a family) I am going straight to the 3 bedroom houses (probably semi detached), we have 2 fully paid for cars we want somewhere to park them.

So the plan is at least 15% deposit on a house at £100k-£130k.

In short I don't want this: (could buy it on a couple of credit cards)

    I don't expect this:

But would be quite happy with this:

  • SMI helps people keep their roof over their and their families head in difficlut times, for the vast majority of people it pays only PART of their mortgage.I dont know why people have a problem with this? After all if people receive LHA to rent privately(and far more do then get SMI)then the state is only lining the pockets of some BTL chancer.

Funny, in a "geneer is an obsessed stalker" kind of way, yes.

Didn't think you would have much to say on the evidence provided Hamish. ;)

No doubt because its all verifiable by a couple of mouse clicks. :D

Aw, does puppy dog geneer want some attention? Here baby, roll over, lie down, sit up and beg. Here, have a biscuit and a little ear scratch.

There, is that enough attention for you, little Mr attention seeking puppy?

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    LOL, 'OWNED'. :D

:T:T:T Wow. You really are going for the "worlds best ignorer" gong there aren't you RM.

Boy, something really got under you skin eh.

But its good to see you going with that reasoned mature debating style you were advocating so highly a couple of posts ago.
