Ahh sorry mate, crossed wires me thinks. Wasn't aimed at you, was more a general observation0 -

Its depressing that all debates seem to end up going down party lines, with bears supporting bears and bulls supporting bulls no matter whether they really agree with their bear or bull comrades or not, they just dont want to agree with their bear or bull enemies.
TBF graham, you are as guilty as anyone when you step into arguments and defend your bear allies, no matter what. I couldnt believe my eyes when you defended geneer, one of the worst posters on here, simply because he is a member of the bear gang.
So its not because I successfully danced rings around you and deconstructed your spurious assertions with gleeful abandon then.
Cos the bulls usually love that. :rotfl:0 -

Care to substantiate that allegation?
I haven't posted on CC since Nov last year.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

That doesn't mean that because I would like to see a cap placed on taxpayer expense, we WANT to see people chucked out. It's just there is no alternative option....and that is the sole reason they are on SMI in the very first place....to stop them losing the house.
i want a cap on the tax payer expense, i want the lender to take some responsibility too.
btw - how many people are on SMI for more than 1 year?0 -

Yet in the space of one interaction with you, a couple of days ago, I've become "one of the worst posters here".

Fantastic. Clearly getting a balanced opinion there.
Yes indeed, I do give as good as I get.0 -

Where geneer used to post most of the time. credit crunch.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Not to worry. I can assist.
Nov last year eh. Around the time I started actively posting here.
Funny that.
No you weren't posting on CC after then.
But you were popping in to mark your own posts up and reduce your negative score for a bit longer than that, weren't you hamish.
Whilst at the same time marking my posts down.
:rotfl:
So to summarise,
You regularly elected to start threads on CC, despite you being an irregular poster.
You regularly lost interest in threads just as the discussion was getting interesting.
You haven’t posted on CC posted since I became a regular presence here.
Oh, and your much gloated over “new peaks” disappeared in somewhat spectacular fashion.
That about sum it up?0 -
you're forgetting that it is more cost effective for the lender to keep someone in the property if the borrower is able to repay the mortgage in the future. that's why people are not getting repossessed.
i want a cap on the tax payer expense, i want the lender to take some responsibility too.
btw - how many people are on SMI for more than 1 year?
Think most will agree with you, but allowing it to run for 4 years is daft.0 -

Funny, in a "geneer is an obsessed stalker" kind of way, yes.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
