Im pretty sure PCTOOLS is the main culprit
I also notice you have a defrag program partially running which wont be helping matters:idea:0 -
Big thanks to aliEnRIK and Closed. I will try what you both suggest, also ...
Can you tell me the Defrag program that running and I will turn it off.
Can you also suggest a good alternative to PCTools and Registry Manager?. I run a small business and am fearful of viruses, etc getting on to my system. I used to have Norton but about 4 years ago all the magazines were praising PCTools so I changed to that (with daily updates). My annual subscription is up next month so it's a good time to change.
Thanks again

Defrag prog -
I:\SpeedyPC\PC Tools Utilities\Tools\Defrag\DMDefragSrv.exe (file missing)
id recommend AVAST or AVIRA as your main av
MALWAREBYTES as a secondary scanner
COMODO if you really need complete control of incoming and outgoing connections (most do not)
FIREFOX with SANDBOXIE for net usage
You dont need another registry program (generally speaking, theyre all dangerus to use). But if you feel you need a bit of a clean up every now and then id recommend CCLEANER
If you want to pay then id recommend KASPERSKY (comes with its own firewall). But still use malwarebytes as a secondary scanner:idea:0
