Stayed in the Edinburgh Central Waterloo Place Travelodge this weekend and it was excellent. Cheap room, clean and tidy, bed decent, nice and quiet. Can recommend this one to people going to Edinburgh - it's just round the corner from Waverley station too.

I've never had a problem with Travelodge in the UK. They're always clean and tidy and I've stayed at quite a few! The ones in the US are a bit hit and miss though.0

Been working for them long?0 -
I've stayed in one in Stafford and the comments are pretty much the same. Apart from charging £20 for my dog to sleep in the room it was very good value. I can understand them charging for dogs because I imagine some people let their dogs make a right mess so maybe it should just be a deposit payed back if the room isn't messed up.0

Well done dearie. I suspect most people can tell the difference between someone spamming with their first post and a more established forum poster praising something they used and enjoyed. As you've clearly spent time looking through my old posts, why don't you see if you can find where I work, its definitely not either a hotel or Edinburgh.0 -

Thanks Op for this thread. Posts regularly appear on MSE slagging Travelodge and I reply that they have always treated me well. I am a great TL fan and would always recommend them.
I agree with you about this particular one, but I have never had a bad experience in any of the Edinburgh ones."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

I usually really like travellodges as all I am after is a cheap place to fall asleep. However I stayed at the Bristol one on Monday and there was blood on the wall! I didn't bother complaining as I only slept in there but it was a bit grim!
That was a one off though, usually Travelodges are great value for money and tend to be in a good locationThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Any idea what the west end one is like in edinburgh? Staying there next weekI'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0
