Argos-cancelled Coversafe Policy

in Credit cards
Hi. I have had a Argos card for a number of years. In the last month they have told me that I am not entitled to a new card (as the old one has expired) and this week I received a letter telling me they have cancelled the Coversafe Policy. No reason, just cancelled it. I owe about £400 on the card and always take Cover out in case of sickness or unemployment. Can they do this? I paid approx £5.00 - £6.00 a month into this, all for nothing so it seems. Am I entitled to it back? I feel that they have short changed me in cancelling the policy for no reason.
Any help and advice you can give me will be much appreciated.

Hi,

I think the experts on the credit card board will be best placed to help you out with this, so I'll move your query across there for you.
Good luck

Thank you so much, i couldnt decide where it should go....0

The monthly premium covered that month, so can't see them refunding. They may offer a good will gesture though - who knows?0

Can I ask... did they say why you are not entitled to a new card?
Presumably their cancellation of the Coversafe Policy is related to this?Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. A few months back i contacted a company called Gregory Pennington that I saw on here as a good debt counselling service. I am due to contact them again tomorrow as they sorted out a lot for me and are really good, well they have been for me. I am now getting letters and phonecalls from a company called Moorcroft about Argos. I will ask Gregory Pennington to have a look for me and see if they can sort it out. If anyone can get me the coversafe money back then its them. Thank you0
