Sky will give you an xxx@sky.com email address thats for life whether you stay with them or not.
Sky email is an OEM version of Google's gmail, you might want to get yourself one of those accounts instead or as well.

Regarding your existing email service, some providers allow you to keep them, most don't and will through you off their server .
You may find that you can still receive emails from your old account but can no longer send.

My advise would be to get a gmail account set up now and start advising your contacts, before you move.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

    hi there,

I still use my Tiscali email address even though I have not used their Internet service for 5-6 years. Instead of using outlook, I log in to the email server via the Talk Talk website where you can send and receive. You can still set outlook up to receive tiscali emails but you will be unable to send because they are not your ISP. I use hotmail via outlook because although they are not an ISP or anything, you are able to use a small Microsoft program that allows you to send and receive via Outlook.

Give Talk Talk a ring, they'll be able to tell you for definite.

chances are you will still be able to use it but it could stop working at any time.

personally I would sign up for either a hotmail or gmail account, both are completely ISP independant, meaning you can never 'loose' it if you switch ISPs in the future, also there arn't any restrictions (like having to send mail only from a talktalk IP address) you can access hotmail and gmail from everywhere and anywhere

If you buy your own domain you can keep the same e-mail address for ever, and it is a great way to keep the spam down to an absolute minimum.

I note that one supplier is charging 99p for the first year !
