crazy mobile deals! BEWARE

so i needed a new contract phone and with crazy mobile deals an online company so i got the new sony ericsson w810i. After much haggling i got a deal for 600 mins crossnetwork a month and 400 texts for £40 a month with orange. Its and 18month contract and with the phone i got 12 months half price line rental and a free 2GB i pod-sounds good? well as yet i havent seen my ipod and and im getting charged a little more each month for my bill even know i never overspend. When trying to phone the company i can never ever get through and i have held for over an hour many times. So i have come to a decison im going to cancel my direct debit so they cant take anymore money from me and then see how they like it if i keep using the phone. Any suggestions please would be much appreciated on what to do!
If i cant get hold of the company what can i do!!!
thanks

It is the network operator you are paying, not the dealer you purchased the contract from. Orange will appoint a debt collection agency if you cancel your direct debit and fail to make payments by another method. Your network contract with Orange is binding for the minimum term.

The contract regarding the iPod is between you are the dealer, not the network.

  • Sorry not exactly a reply to your problem, but I was wondering there must be someone out there who knows who is the 'top dog' to get hold of at orange, their customer service department is full of robots who repeat themselves over and over again. You can't e mail them either. So there must be a number or somewhere you can complain to does anyone know??
