hoildays with dogs

hi ,we have 2 gsd,s and always holiday with them ,so far we have been to some great places stayed in inns, caravans ,chalets. and cottages some have been fantastic others ok , i would like to ask any others that holiday with there dogs what have been the best and what have been the worst so called dog friendly holidays,

Holidays with dogs are a treat for both of you finding one thats suitable with walks is getting harder thanks to our new friends "health and saftey". we holiday in North Wales most weekends with our Springerdor= Springer/Lab and love tha walk along Dinas Dinlle beach. There is a part thats dog free (dogs dont carry much money anyway)but there is a good few miles of stunning Llyen Peninsular coastline to knacker me but not my dog.When the wind is blowing and your coats on tight off i go love it...

We are taking our dogs with us for the first time this year. We are using Cornish Cottage Holidays. Not going until June - but I will report back! I do know that there is a huge field next door for them to play in, and a 40ft swimming pool for the kids!!

thank you we have always taken our s on holiday with us and have found some fantastic places yours is not an area we have been to but sounds fantastic so am off to start looking for a weekend trip for later in year ( we try to avoid all school holidays ):T

thank you yes would love to hear how you get on sounds fab, we have a week booked in north cornwall in june, been there many times and some fab dog friendly beaches. :T

We have a caravan at Littlesea in Weymouth and they have great walks for dogs all around, ours love going down there, you can walk for miles along beautiful scenery. We often see Deer there out of season.
Weymouth beach has doggie sections.
Unfortunately we dont allow other dogs in for the enjoyment of all our guests, but Haven do and some other private owners. Try https://www.directholidayhomes.co.uk for private owners

We rented a caravan on Park Resorts Thorness Bay on the Isle of Wight (rented privately) and its by a huge meadow and bay that is dog friendly. Most of the IOW has beaches where dogs are banned from May to September but Thorness Bay is great and there are miles and miles of walks on the island. We're going back this year for a week in September and renting privately again.

We have also stayed at Thorness Bay when it was still Haven when we had a tourer, must agree IOW is lovely..I can remember the big field I think is it the one that leads down to the water?

I hate going somewhere to find that my dog is not welcome.
We have recently discovered the Yorkshire Dales to be one of the best places to go. We found lots of pubs, resturants, cafe's and even shops were happy for us to take our dog in with us. We normally use our own caravan but have just booked a hotel as its my birthday soon - check out the dog friendlyness of this place:
