Slow / unresponsive pc

Despite thinking I keep my pc in tip top condition, my desktop has become slow and unresponsive. I keep my programmes up to date constantly using FileHippo Update Checker and Secunia PSI. I also run CCleaner regularly and Malwarebytes on occasion although it never finds anything. I use Opera and don't know if it is an…

one problem I've found with opera is that sometimes when you close it, it doesn't close itself completely and then you get slow running/unable to open it again properly. You may have to go into task manager to close manually before re-opening it again. Slightly annoying until you notice what's going on and something I suspect the next update to opera will (hopefully) cure....
