There is already so many threads like this on here....has he spent the points? If he hasn't, you could appeal to Microsoft to refund you, although this would be on their own goodwill.
To prevent this happening in the future, set the parental controls up on the Xbox, and remove your card details yourself. Maybe your son could find a way to pay you back? 13 year olds can do some work, or you could make him do chores etc.

Wow, £160 of chores is going to take a while to pay off... I bet you hear 'that's not fair...' a few times along the way... ;-)0

They may have changed it but a little while ago you could only remove your card details from the ms account by calling them. So be wary if you billed the xbox gold subscription to a card as i believe they set up auto-renewal unless you turn it off.
If you have more than 1 kid, theres a gold family subscription. The main member can control the others accounts and can pay for points then send them to the other accounts (or other accounts can use codes purchased in store/given as gifts). I think it was £69.99 a year but that gives you up to 4 gold subscriptions i believe.
Usually for a year, you can pay anywhere from £32 to over £40. So if you usually pay £40 and have 2 subscriptions, you'd still be saving money but would give you the added benefit of monitoring your kids accounts. You can even set some of their options so that (for instance) they can only communicate with people on their friends list.......thus ensuring they arent subjected to some of the abusive messages that are sent. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
The easiest method is to log on to www.xbox.com and access your xbox live account from there. Add points and then remove your credit card details.0

No, it's sly of your child, not Microsoft.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

It's not Microsoft's fault.
My two lads (14 and 12) have xbox accounts. My card is registered and they know that if anything other than the annual subscription gets charged to my card, then they'll be in very serious trouble!
The card has been on for two years now and only the annual subscription has been debited. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Of course, with using the parental controls you could have prevented all this.0

OP in future do not enter your card details on the xbox and if your son wants any ms points or a subscription then buy the pre paid ones from the internet from sites like game, shopto.net, there are sites that can be cheaper (or used to be) where they would email you the code once the card was authorised0
