Need consumer lawyer id Denmark or one in UK whio can deal with Danish company

Could anybody recommend to me a solicitor/lawyer who may be able to help me negotiate/arbitrate/sue/whatever a Danish Company with whom I am having a dispute.

The lawyer may be in the UK or Denmark.

The sum involved is approximately 10,000 pounds and I assume would come under the category of "consumer" purchase.

I am based in London.

Is the contract subject to English or Danish law? That will decide where to look for a lawyer.

Welcome Steve, you will get a better response if you say where you spent your £10,000. If it was Denmark, then maybe you need a Danish Lawyer. If it was in the UK, than I am assured our barrack room is full of advice for you.

Hi, thanks - quick responses.

Money was sent to Denmark in DKK for an antique investment, from what I thought was a reputable business there. Antique (well 60s thing anyway) is not what was advertised and is a fake - major Auction house in London tell me so, and from their arguments and evidence it appears inescapably so.

Said business will not reply to me about it - email and post have been sent, several times.

Suspect I need Danish lawyer.

I think you do need a Danish lawyer - do they have a version of the DSR's, for instance, or can you press them for passing counterfeit goods? Must admit, I'd be rather wary about spanking £10k on sometinng unverified :,-(
