Wouldn't an electric sander be easier and more effective? It sure would take the elbow grease out of the job ;)

I'm trying to imagine a situation where dave82 comes home with a tin of matt black paint, and yet manages to retain his relationship beyond the evening ! :)

    Huh??? Why?

Quality I will give this a go tonight! The lights are just strip lights with a defuser. Perhaps LEDs would be better.

Its quite hard to paint the underneath of a cupboard whilst sitting in ones monster truck, using a long broom attached to a pole reaching in through the kitchen window.

I would imagin I might get some paint on the worktop and my OH would then be totaly unimpressed.

Otherwise I don't know why either? Perhaps they are saying it is a bad idea but I was coming from the same direction with the black card idea!

Oh, I wouldn't be let loose near our new kitchen with black paint by my DH.

Moot point though really, maybe Dave's DH is more accomodating.

You could try driving the truck right into the kitchen - that should could get rid of the worktop that's giving the pesky reflection!

Just wanted to say sorry for my rediculant mood yesterday and thanks for the suggestions. I reckon we will end up not noticing them! I will just run my wires neatly so that the reflections look nice :-)

That or sand the * out the worktop!
