Hi,
Somehting I never through of when we got a black quartz worktop was...
When we turn the pelmet light on we get a reflection of the underside of the wall cupboards!
Can this be reduced by either putting reflective e.g. foil
or non-reflective e.g. black card under the cupboards?
any other options?
Cheers D
P.S. I tried using a monster truck and it didn't help one bit.

Do you mean a reflection of the underside of the wall cupboards?
I'm not sure I understand how you've got a reflection of the underside of the worktop.0 -
i suspect Alan is right, though I haven't quite come to terms with the monster truck yet0

If we can ignore the monster truck for now that didn't work any suggestions anyone?0

Black lighting ? (Submariners will get that one !)0

Listen mate no need to get wise I have tried a monster truck and I haven't been anywhere near submarines.
Anyone got any sensible suggestions. I would never make silly suggestions to someones thread. :rotfl:0 -
There's no way over this, other than more subtle lighting I'm afraid.
You'll not change the physics of the reflection, even with a Monster Truck.0 -
Maybe you could try painting the bottom of the cupboards black - so that at least the reflection would match the worktop. Wouldn't help any with the reflection of the actual light though.0

Presumably, if the undercupboard downlighting is led-based, then it's low power yes? Is there a possibility of a diffusion of the light with semi opaque plastic cut to shape and placed over the lenses?
I am interested in the answer because we might have the same problem soon but with black granite worktop.0 -
An update to say, this link may prove relevant :-
