  • The Navman F20 is awesome- tried it today - found 9 satellites in 30 secs from 1st turning on.

Reroutes in about 20 secs if you decide there is loads of traffic in front of you and you want to attempt a short cut- the voice is plenty loud enough I had to turn it down!! Tons of point of interests built in, cash points and petrol and speed cams plus LOADS of others.

The build quality is also really good it feels quite solid. Why would anyone want to pay more than £125?

    Its FANTASTIC!
  • How do you replace the battery? Or do you just chuck it in the bin? How much is a new battery (assuming they are available?)

What makes you think it's got a poor antenna? Have you tried it? I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Additionally, disregarding RRP, you can quite easily pick up an i3 for £89 at the moment.

Where can I pick up a Garmin for £89?

I have seen them on offer for £89, but £99 seems to be a good deal right now.

I have looked for one at under £100 but without success. Can you provide a link to £99, please.

    I've found one here.
  • I don't think this has been picked-up in this thread yet, but Dixons now have the Navman F20 down at £124.99 (with free delivery) and there is a £5 voucher available (quick Google search will find this). Don't forget the 2.5% at Quidco.

    All in: appx £116.

Just got me one [*awaits deluge of people telling me I was stupid*]

The F20 with European maps CD is £150 on ebuyer (today only); also consider N20 which comes with european maps...

I was sceptical about Sat-Navs until my wife bought me of these for Christmas. I now think its great and worth every penny.

Please note, one of its pre-sets is shortest distance or quickest time, after going through 3 housing estates in Wigan & 200 turns, I thought "This can't be right" and changed it to quickest time and now all is well.

Also there is a switch under the rubber sucker to the windscreen, took me 4 weeks to find it, but its probably true what they say about men and instructions.
