Washer/dryer combi V separates

  • Thanks all for your replies. Am going for separates as most of you and others have suggested. Haven't had problems with my combi in 5 years or so either, but do think efficiency is not that great at times, especially for drying stuff. Someone also said that the drum is bigger with separates?? Hubby also moaning that clothes don't come out that clean either in ours.

Thanks again all for your help!

Having had both separates and a combi I can fully recommend going down the separates route. You then have the choice of getting exactly what you want. The only real downside I suppose is the extra space it takes up.

I hated my washer/dryer, it was so slow to dry anything ::) and used to flood if you didn't set it correctly (which I never got the hang of). I put up with it for years as we couldn't afford to replace it. I think that it finally gave up the ghost one day (and flooded us out in the process).

When we ditched it, I opted for an AEG washing machine which I really do love (sad I know!!) and one of the tumble dryers with the "elephant" nose on the front for the hot air. It has to be more energy efficient, as it dries the clothes in a fraction of the time :)

Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."
