Out of the Country - Now my sim doesn't work

I had an O2 pay and go sim card. Didn't use it for about a year as I was travelling. When I came back it had stopped working. Couldn't pick up any signal, like it had been deactivated or something. Has anyone else ever had this or know why it might be. Lost about £16 of credit :(

Apparently all networks do this if the card is inactive for a long time. You are likely to have lost the number as well.

If there's no traffic through a sim for 6 months it's disconnected (its in the T&C's).

A friend of mine said that if you ring them they might be able to reconnect it. Don't know how true this is or if they charge for it.

If it's been 12mth then the number could have been recycled already, you never know until you try though.
