xbox console + 4 games £49.98! (merged) All gone now ; (

I bought the xbox for my son in Chester, they didn't have the games. On the bottom of the receipt it said that I had 2 months to redeem the reciept to collect the free games at any argos store. I had already reserved the games at Cheshire Oaks store. I went and collected my order, presented my receipt and they over-road the price so I paid nothing for the games. This only works if you collect the xbox first. I did the ordering on the phone via customer services and they were very helpful.

Done quite a search on the website and now know there's no point in looking for one around London! Tried Putney, Wandsworth, WImbledon, Guildford, Aldershot, Farnham, etc, etc.

They've got the consoles in both city centre stores in Liverpool, though! :rotfl:

Cos if there's no stock of part of an order you can't place a reservation, and having a tiny baby I don't want to risk shlepping all the way into the centre of a big town to find the consoles have just sold out.

oops sorry littlesos .. i got the impression he was completing the order at 2 stores.. but like you said you need to be able to reserve it first.

Why dont you reserve the console near you, and reserve the games near your dad. I'm sure if you tals to customer services they will extend the reservation time. You can post the receipt to your dad if he lives a distance away, and it won't cost more than £1-£2 to post the games to you....

Still checking stock and cannot find any of these x-boxes locally. The games are in stock but not the x-boxes. I have searched:

Barry, Talbot Green, 3 in Cardiff, Caerphilly, Weston super Mare, Bridgend, and Worle

Phone c/services(01908 690333)and ask them where there is still stock. I did this on Friday and was told that no more would be delivered to the North East, hence my trip to Liverpool. I'm glad I made the effort it's a great bargain for fifty quid!
