Approx 7 days. He'll need an electrician qualified to sign off the extractor fan connection, but that's the only outside help he's getting.0

Sorry but sounds as though he's havin a laff! Thats £ 300 a day !!!!!!.Approx 7 days.
No electrician should sign off someone elses work. Sparks to do the whole electrics job, test, issue MWC and notify is the way it should be done UNLESS its a like for like replacement on existing cabling in which case he doesn't need it signed off and doesn't need to notify it.He'll need an electrician qualified to sign off the extractor fan connection, but that's the only outside help he's getting.

£700 for a days work for 16m2 is nothing short of daylight robbery. My sympathies but on the counter argument I guess it was you who accepted the quote in the first place?The_Blue_Hatter wrote: »It certainly was and the fact im wrong makes it worse!! £700 for what I watched my tiler do (ok 16m) in one single day!

Cheers
Sorry Keystone you misunderstood me. I watched the tiler in my house tile 16m of wall tiles in one day. OP is being charged £700 what I reckon my tiler could do in one day!!! I can assure you I didnt pay £700 for the tiling! My tiler charges £25 per sqm including grout etc and based on this OP should be paying about £400 I think.0 -
I've found someone else to do the job now, so many thanks for your help.0
-
Oh - sorry yes I did. I thought you were saying thats what you had paid. As I've previously said £700 is waay OTT.The_Blue_Hatter wrote: »Sorry Keystone you misunderstood me.

Awaiting quote. I haven't entirely ruled out the £2200 quote though.0

Are you inside the congestion zone with very limited and expensive parking availability? Both can add remarkably to the cost. Still think £ 2,200 is rather high but he's seen the job and I haven't.
