    Firstly, Virgin is the same network as T-mobile, i.e. no problems with compatibility.
    Secondly, what's wrong with the Sticky: Free codes for Unlocking Phones OTHER than Nokia's Thread 3?

    Even though they use the same physical network they are different service providers. If the handset is locked to service provider then you can't use a SIM from another provider without unlocking. It's not guaranteed that a T-Mobile SIM will work in a Virgin handset and vice-versa.

    It might work with some handsets but not others, depending on how they are locked. They can be locked to the physical network or the service provider.

    (For completeness, handsets can be locked in other ways. Although rare; they can be locked to a country, to a type of SIM or to one particular SIM)
