Hrmm, I believe Microsoft will install a standard VGA adaptor if it is one it doesn't have drivers for, regardless of what graphics is installed device manager will ALWAYS if the correct driver is installed list the manufacturer and usually model no.

Can you give me the Device ID./Hardware ID.

(Right hand click on the standard VGA adaptor under device manager, click properties, then Details, then Device Instance ID and give me the string containing the VEN_%%%%&DEV_%%%%)

    call off the lawyers! :o

well i tried all kinds of drivers under windows 7 from Sony/Nvidia
So i though that i may as well install Vista again and try that, as i expect Sony wouldnt entertain any question relating to Windows 7 as it never came with it.
fired up Vista and installed the OEM driver from Sony, rebooted and it worked
I havent put W7 back on yet, however its strange that it never showed under 7
also begs the question how Sony tested a new graphics card with no drivers?

I'll report back once i get 7 back on

Good to hear. AIO systems have very specific components and you can't just shoehorn any motherboard into it.
Thought it would be a driver issue, if you do have troubles with Windows 7 picking up the graphics search the VEN & DEV on Google and it should give you nudges in the right direction for the graphics.

You don't need to test, Sony just know. :P
