Hi all,
I sent a letter to Halifax asking for details of charges over the last 6 years and another letter to the RBOS in my Mrs name asking the same. I used the letter format mentioned in Martins tips back in early Aug.
Anyway, I have not heard a thing from either since and fear I may have sent them without the £10 cheque.
What will I do?? Phone the bank or start afresh but making sure I send the £10 this time??
Cheers

Surely if you make a DPA Access Request and forget to send payment the bank is required to write back and ask for it, not just pretend they never got it! I'd ring them and chase it up.

I would like to think so also Rich.0

If that is the case send them a letter reminding them giving them about a week to reply. If you don't hear anything carry on to the next step in the process. Is what I would do!0

Just called bank. They say they did not receive letter. The advisor said he could request the details now, but it would cost me £5. I asked if they would detail all charges and he said it would have all details regarding my account.
I agreed to the £5 and they should be with me soon. Not too sure I will be due that much back but it is worth a try. I've been pretty good for the last 3 or maybe 4 years but I am sure I will have a few charges prior to this. Hope it is worth my while doing this.
Mrs is working at moment so will get her to try as soon as she comes home.
Cheers

Sounds similar to me, I genuinely thought I'd only have about £60 worth from 2002/03 but it actually came to just under £260 before interest. Good luck, I've just sent my first claim in.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -
I have sent all of my correspondance by recorded mail to the banks, so i know they have received them0
