An unfair requirement that can be challenged!
For example: How does not being vaccinated affect any claim for a road accident involving broken bones etc? It doesn't!
Just because an insurance co puts clauses into a policy doesn't make them right or reasonable.
But you agree to these terms when you take out the policy. Is it right for the insurance company to pay out to treat parvo virus when you could easily have prevented it? I have never seen a company refuse to pay for a broken bone though in an unvaccinated dog but if you could easily prevent a disease, why should they pay for it?0 -

No it's not fair & I wouldn't expect them too but that's not what I'm saying. I had personal experience of a company refusing to payout for cancer treatment until they had proof of vaccinations.... quite how vaccs could have prevented cancer I'm not sure!Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

No that's wrong of the insurance company morally but quite possibly legally correct based on the small print. From my experience, people don't read the small print or fully understand the policy they have taken out. I would like insurance companies to explain the policy in much more detail, albeit in simple terms.0 -

Not that I know of ... I wish I did0 -
I go to my local vets4pets they have a scheme where you pay £99 and this covers vaccinations for the life of you pet. I think this is good value especially if your pet is still young. they have lots of branches around the country0
