HTC Desire Z upgrade T-mobile

Hello all,

I have reached my upgrade date, and like the look of the HTC desire Z. I know that if I upgrade through T-mobile directly, they do not offer this phone. I have noticed Phones4u have it for £20-odd per month with free phone on T-mobile,but am I right in thinking that I would not be able to port my number if I got this deal. Do Phones4u do T-mobile upgrades?-doesn't seem to mention this on their website.

Does anyone know where else I could go for my upgrade, or whether I should go for another network? I don't use my phone much for calls or texts (probably about 80 mins / 100texts a month), but I do use the internet quite a lot - not downloading so much, but looking at websites / email.

Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

From my experience, trying to get the desire HD as an upgrade through phones 4 U on T Mobile they dont do upgrades.
The best I can think of is to port your T Mobile number to a different provider on PAYG then take the deal at phones 4 u and port the number back.

Sounds like a good plan. Will I have to wait before contract is finished before getting a PAC code? It finishes on 21st April, I'd be happy to wait that long if need be.

Another option may be to try Carphone Warehouse - would they be likely to get me a good deal? Would they, for example, tell T-mobile I was thinking of leaving, as I believe that is the best way to get a good deal.

You need to give a months notice either way, so its upto you when you do it. Not sure carphone warehouse will be any different as im they are the same company
