Hmm not sure all this android business is exactly true, see quote below:
First Direct Chief Executive Matt Colebrook said: "This is about making the banking experience simpler and quicker, allowing our iPhone enabled customers to access key features of our internet banking; whenever they want and wherever they want.
"The iPhone App is as a huge step forward, but it's just the beginning of our ambitions for mobile banking. Our plans for 2011 are to make our 'on the go' mobile service available on other smartphone devices."
So it would appear that one is in development! :j0 -
:spam: Same app listed in multiple threads from a new account this morning. Reported.0

>>He also said “...Android is growing rapidly, it’s nowhere near the iPhone just yet.”
That's hilarious! He should look at the numbers:
Apple iPhone Smartphones -- 19% market share
Android Smartphones -- 48% market share
You would think a bank would be somehwat better with basic maths. Sigh.
(And the gap appears to be widening - Apple fell short of expectations of iPhone shipments by 3 million units this year so far)

Bump!
Please, if you use Android and FD, send them a message or tweet as OP suggests. They just told me today they aren't even working on an Android app, quite a change from their public stance less than a year ago.
Let's keep the campaign going!0
