This has to either improve or be so much better next time around .. think you have been too "nice" and I feel so sorry for you ... it's the story of MY life too!! BEST of luck .... DO let us know ....
  • Yesterday I had a phone call from one of the EA's staff asking a question on behalf of the buyers so they still seem to be interested (or did it to give that impression!)

The EA himself updated me today. Apparently the buyers still haven't supplied all the info required for the mortgage application and are not answering the phone. The EA is showing other potential buyers the property and writing to the present buyers advising them of this and asking what their intentions are. Hopefully this will spur them into action!
  • We are having same kind of problems but the other way round, we are FTB, the vendor wanted us to move in before Xmas, the house is vacant (furnished), we have had the survey etc done but the vendor's solicitor still hasn't sent our sol the details etc. Your not selling in Manchester are you??
  • Nope, not Manchester. And my solicitor sent the draft contracts out at the beginning of this month.
  • Quick update:
The original buyers have pulled out. Don't know why yet but hopefully will find out tomorrow.

Two viewings today, one of which resulted in a very low offer awhich I have declined.

gutted for you mate. What a nightmare :(

    keep us updated tomorrow
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • Thanks lynzpower

It's just as well I hadn't made an offer on anywhere else.
  • The original buyers gave no reason for pulling out though I suspect that either they couldn't get a big enough mortgage or, as young couples often do, disagreed between themselves. I think they would have said if it was a problem with the property.

Another couple viewed yesterday but I didn't accept their offer of £141K as the EA assured me the asking price of £145,950 was realistic and they didn't have finance in place. Particulars have gone out to other potential buyers so I will see what happens over the weekend.
  • I have every sympathy with you. My buyers pulled out two weeks ago 9 weeks after we accepted their offer. We are now having to start all over again. Will hopefully have some viewings next week.

    Good luck :)
My sig's too large, apparently - so apologies to whoever's space I was taking up.:lipsrseal
  • Thanks Mrs Arkwright. Good luck to you too

It's really annoying when people do that. Did they give a reason?
