Have you managed to get beautiful widgets to work? I've spent ages but it just says forcing canvas to close.

I had that with another download.

The way around it was to uninstall the Google Maps update.

Try that, you can always download Google Maps again if it doesn't solve the problem.

    ;)

How about this, just as I was typing my daughter came in with the same problem!

The paint chips off the pink ones really easily.

My daughter dropped hers on the drive, luckily it bounced off the soil but it did chip it.

If you put your nail underneath a chipped bit of paint it will be a black phone in no time!

    :D

I did this but watch out as depending what you use you can see small scraches to the casing of the phone. Also its really hard to get it out of the groves etc. But I would rather have this than a pink phone :rotfl:

Once the free internet has ran out on this I think I will move onto a low price interent phone. However this has made me decide if I want a smartphone without the added cost. Thanks again OP :T

Ok, I have just tried to uninstall the updates for Google Maps on my daughter's phone, although it appeared to uninstall them, I still couldn't get the app that she wanted to work.

I got around it this way:

    Press the MENU button

    Press Settings

    Press Applications

    Press Manage Applications

    Press Maps

    Press Uninstall

This says it will take you back to the factory settings (or something like that, I did it quite quickly).

You should then be able to add your app.

I suppose you can always update Google Maps later.

    Hope this helps.

I am going to get mine unlocked after the 6 months and put my 3 sim in there.

It costs £10 for 3 months and you get 600 free texts 150mb of surfing and free 3 to 3 calls.

I don't use any of my £10 credit for calls or anything so I use my 150mb surfing in the first month and then £5 for about 2.5gb of surfing.

I just used my finger nail and a patch of paint flicked off!

Didn't tell my daugter that I did it though, just said how much paint had started chipping off since I last looked at it :o.

Ohh thats an idea, I looked into giffgaff too. Do you know how/where to get it unlocked? I love the look of the new Samsung galaxy S2 but its a bit expensive :(

Ahh my brother got some off with his finger nail, I mainly used my car key when I was waiting for the RAC. To get the last bits out of some of the cracks I have used a knife too. I am usually very careful with this phone but after I droped it and it bounced down a flight of steps I think I have gone past the 'caring' stage :rotfl: I still have the pink circle in the big button though :o
