i found another company who quoted me for said job, the premium was £300 cheaper than churchill (but i did not tell them about the non fault claim :( )

so i rang churchill back and told them i wasnt goin to go ahead with the renewal and explained my reasons why, i was put thru to the 'loyalty team' and after chatting with the guy and telling him how dissapointed i was, he had another look at quote,.

he asked if i had a partner who i could put onto policy, but i told him that he was 9 years younger than me and hadnt been long driving (5 years),. but, sure enuff it brought down the premium......

so its gone from £88 per month to £67 - which is what i will have to take, as cannot get insurance for this job anywhere else...

i only have a fiat stilo - which beggars belief as 4 years ago i had an imported subaru wrx a group 21 car.... and was only paying £550!!!

unless anyone else can advise of any other insurance company, then i am stumped with paying the £67 per month!! grrrr.

Does not look likely (...but you never know!!).
"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

  • There is only one company in the UK that can provide this kind of food delivery insurance, but the employer has to take it out for his staff to carry out food delivery legally and safely. Contact ICB Group or visit their web page they are great!

I would include the link but MSE won't let me just search ICB Group food delivery insurance

Have you checked whether your employer's fleet insurance covers you?

If you are an employee delivering company goods in your own car and don't have insurance which covers you, your employer is equally guilty and will also be prosecuted if found out.

To avoid the risk of prosecution, I know that one of the national pizza chains has a policy which covers any of their drivers in their own car for the legal minimum cover but only whilst on company deliveries. This runs in parallel with any existing policy on the vehicle (or even if there isn't one) and means the company will never be prosecuted for no insurance and doesn't have to try and check insurance cover of every casual employee.

Your employer may have something similar.
