Oh, you think about it for a second, the clue would be in the question mark at the end of the sentence.
If you read Inactives post I was responding to it directly. I am questioning his statement, or is that confusing for you. Please read it in context. If we have to stop to explain things it will make for a very boring thread.
However it isn't unusual for you to be unable to read a thread as an entity, you always seem to focus on one or two sentences, I take it that is so you can think of a smart !!!! comment, usually by taking the comment out out context.
Surely only a small child thinks it is smart !!!! comments that gain any kind of respect in a peer group?
Wow, gandalf and Inactive online at the same time again, mmmmmmm.
When will either of your pathetic posts make any POSITIVE contribution to the forum.
Never would be my guess.
Why change the habit of a lifetime.

I have told you before, I have one user ID on here, feel free to report me if you think different.
I did suggest that you put me on ignore, but you obviously enjoy reading my posts, that you cannot resist them.

But diesel is always cheaper than petrol in mainland Europe ?
Most countries on the Continent tax Diesel at a somewhat lower rate than Petrol. Historically, this was meant to compensate hauliers for the sometimes exorbitant road tax bills for lorries and was done at a time when almost no cars other than taxis were running on Diesel.0 -
So are you saying that mainland Europe is behind the times ?
Remind me to fill up before I get the ferry back - I think the Netherlands should do it - they have Royal Dutch Shell diesel there :money:0 -
What he said.
Just wait for the revenue increasing the price of LPG when nobody is looking.
Probably as soon as more people use it.
Bloody government.
Indeed  I remember way back in 2003, LPG was around 37-39p a litre!!!Now totally debt free & it feels better than anything money can buy!

Haha, for once maybe
. Although the high road tax for HGVs still applies.
I actually filled up on Diesel in the Netherlands 10 days ago at EUR 1.419 / l while it was around £ 1.419 / l over here.0 -

I guess the actual fuel component of the price has gone up by as much since then; the increase in price of petrol is, after all, not all down to tax hikes. In other words, while LPG has increased by 30 p - 35 p, so has Petrol (+ tax hikes). It's just that with the exorbitant fuel taxes in this country this translates into quite different percentage increases.0 -
It's my guess, that there was impetus years ago to get people to choose diesel because of the higher mileage per gallon, which would reduce the import requirements of fuel oil.0
