Firstly - belated happy birthday :T

Secondly - if you wanted a lie in and your OH didn't take the hint you should have told him.

This morning he was supposed to get up with the girls and let me have a lie in, so I wake him at 8.45 and let him know the girls are up and will be wanting breakfast but as usual, he snuggles up behind me and goes back to sleep.
I nudged him again an hour later and it still took him another 5/10 mins to get up.
I then get woken an hour later to say my mum and stepdad are on their way, so I get up and that was the end of my trying to get a lie in.:o

Thirdly - from the above I make it that you had a lie-in until 10:45 before getting up :eek: I can't remember the last time I was still in bed at this time - what time did you want to get up? And how old are your DD's as they obviously 'coped' from 8:45 for the hour you were both still in bed and to be fair it wasn't his fault that you mum had decided to call round ;)

Think the OP is just having a bit of a grumble really to let off steam.

Must admit, though that both of you sleeping in til 8.45 before waking up means that you both had a lay-in in my book. Not to mention the extra hour snoozing afterwards!

In our house we have a rule that at weekends, whoever the children wake up first gets up first, and the other one will come down as and when they wake. Neither of us would ever sleep beyond 8.30/9ish though - what a waste of the day, and unfair on whoever is looking after the children. Mind you, due to work commitments we are both up by 7 during the week, so 9 would be a good 2 hour lay-in!

Oh I couldn't have that rule in my house- it would be blimmin Mummy getting up every time :rotfl:

Our rule is that he gets up with the on a Sat, I do it on a Sun and the other gets a lie in. Unless we end up working or have family plans, in which case it's bad luck for whoevers turn it was. (Usually mine cos Saturdays are busier lol)
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. :cheesy:
