Was I in the wrong?

There's nothing more than wanting to filter up to an ASL, only to see some numpty stopped in it. Yes you did the right thing.
Why does it always end up with the old "all cyclists jump red lights" stereotype? So do a large percentage of drivers, we never generalise there! :mad:0 -
I leave them to it as I once politely pointed out to a police car driver his brake light was out (I do it to most drivers). He took great offence and became very abusive, he was on the point of arresting me for some BS public order offence.
I find it best to give police's inflated egos a wide birth.
Should have reported him to the Chief Constable.0 -
What an utter coward, he wouldn't have done that if it was a bloke.
I'm surprised you didn't call the police.0 -
I can only assume you have never visted a house where the patient is allergic to latex, the family tend to react like you have shot their child, an berate you as they have so little knowledge about what a latex allergy is.
For example most of the ones I have been to the family seem more interested in abusing you as soon as you enter the house, screaming that you need to have the "special" latex free kit on.
Very nice in theory, except there is no latex in any of the products that my Trust uses anyway, that works out much cheaper than stocking latex and non latex, just use latex free for everything.
Funnily enough the family never listen, remember what they used to say, a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.
I will continue to defend the Police Officer concerned, as is my perogative.
i have the upmost respect for the emergency services, but being a policeman doesnt give them the right to speak down to any member of the public, you go into the force knowing what you may face day to day, every situation IS a different situation and treated with dignity and profesionalism at all times, same with you one min your at a stabbing and the next your dealing with a sweat old lady, you wouldnt treat the lady the same as a stabbing so no officer should treat a member of the public the same way they would treat an abusive drug addict. they are there to serve and protect not shout and abuse!0
