Running to catch up with JulieJim for HHC"Let your boat of life be light, pack only what you need- A homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends worth the name, someone to love and someone who loves you, a cat, a dog, a pipe or two enough to eat, enough to wear and a little more than enough to drink, as thirst is a dangerous thing" Jerome k. Have now cleaned every window I can get to without actually risking my life. Thought it would take an hour to do the ones left after yesterday. It took 3! But it's done now - & my kitchen washed & brushed up.
I've been doing all this flyladying a bit secretly. Thought I wouldn't keep with it & it wouldn't work. But oh NOTICED. And COMMENTED on improvements. Can't quite believe it!
And now - after 3hrs of windows & 1/2 hr kitchen cleaning duty ... I have to do some work!0 -
I've put the 5th and final load of washing on the line, it's drying really quickly out there today. The plumber's here fitting my shower so i'm crossing my legs cause i need a wee.

In my HHC I've
Brought washing in off line
Hung next load out
Stripped DS's bed
Put bedding in WM
Why didn't anyone tell me that stripping DS's midi bed probably wasn't a good idea? I feel like I've run a marathon! I'll get my mum to help me to make it later. Going to have a sit down for a bit now.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Hi all.
Well, I'm afraid one of today's tasks has gone straight onto my Toots list.:( I'm no longer able to get some of the heavier pots and pans out by myself, so that task will get done at a point when Mr LW is available to help.
It's ironic; Ro, Mr LW's Sis1 who left us in December, gave us a lovely set of ceramic cookware for our wedding; but I can't lift them out, as they're so heavy. It's OK once they're on the work surface, I can slide them along to where I need and get Mr LW to lift them in and out of the oven. We do still use them a lot – I used the dish for moussaka over the weekend; but I do wish they didn't weigh a ton!
I also need his help to do the pan cupboard, to get the jam cauldrons out. Again, once they're on the top, I'm fine – it's winkling them out of their storage place that's beyond me. So I hope I can be forgiven for deferring this til he's around to help.:o
Nixie I wish your friend all the very best, and sending be-calm-and-pass vibes. I know the sort of situation; there's a Lupie I know who goes through the same on a regular basis due to having a major stroke when she was 32. Hel's teeth, I don't think I could do it if that was me (the whole “driving with a stranger” thing) so I really do hope all goes well for her.:o
Tonight Mr LW and his pal are going to the opening of the local Wetherspoons beer festival - local CAMRA branch has been invited, buffet being laid on, etc. And Muggins here has to go along to drive them home. So I'm really, really hoping I can just park my wheelchair in a corner and be left alone.:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Only just reporting back from my HHC, I carried on going as I was on a roll. Note to self though: don't have a shower and then carry on vacuuming, there is just a need for another shower after.

In my last HHC, I unloaded the WM and put in next load.
hoovered the LR's and brushed and mopped the kitchen and hall.
decluttered myself into the shower and got dressed as Im at the hospital this afternoon.
S&S the bathroom.
Took last load out of WM and it is now on the line.
Right I really do need to rest now as I'm going the hospital on my own this afternoon and need to get the bus into town."Let your boat of life be light, pack only what you need- A homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends worth the name, someone to love and someone who loves you, a cat, a dog, a pipe or two enough to eat, enough to wear and a little more than enough to drink, as thirst is a dangerous thing" Jerome k.
