Pudding and dessert recipes
You can go off people you know. That's you off my Christmas card list.
Last night night I was thinking that there was a another good word for pudding that would make a good search link and couldn't for the life of me drag it out into the light of day. So here it is now... (thanks pink)

Rice pud, Semolina, ground rice with almond essance . a few peeled apples smothered in custard ,not the tinned rubbish but thick gloopy custard that your old Granny used to make .My grandsons love a pudding like that I watched Raymond Blanc on Saturday morning cooking a rice pud and it looked delicious the way he made it, but I prefer my own way as
two ounces of rice
two ounces of sugar
a couple of dobs of butter
and a handful of sultanas and a pint of milk ,shove them all in a lightly greased dish and a sprinkle of mixed spice on the top or cinnamon and shoved an a slow oven to cook until thick and gloopy is my idea of heaven. All the sides go a crispy brown.very cheap to make and very filling for hungry kids.
I used to spoon a dollop of honey in the middle for my children and it vanished off the plates0 -
Britains best dish http://www.itv.com/lifestyle/food/britainsbestdish/puddings/default.html
A bit terse first time, but I should say this link to ITV gives all the receipes, AND the instructions on how to do it. Cooking temperatures etc.
Don't be put off by 'Britains Best Dish', it goes from the most basic, up to mindblowing, but some of the 'variations on a theme' are fantastic.0
