Nokia 6230i not making calls - Pretty sure it's not blocked!

I bought a Nokia 6230i and this afternoon I was trying my o2 sim and everytime I make a call it says error in connecting straight away. There is reception still.

I tried tmobile and Oranage and they both have reception aswell, when I tried the tmobile one it kept on going beep like it was the wrong number dailed not the 3 beeps which sounds when a phone is blocked.

I gather the phone may have the wrong setting or something? Anyone? Can you help? I really hope it's not blocked!

if you have a reception on orange then it isnt barred
have you tried the factory reset option? that should fix it

The orange sim was a spare and is inactive so had no reception anyways.

Both tmobile and O2 had reception, tomobile engaged and o2 said connection error.

I just tried doing a factory reset but it says enter 'Security Code', What is that? Is there a default one? I got the box and everything would it be on the sticker r something?

try 0000, but if it's wrong, stop and google for the answer.

security code for nokias is 12345

no matter what sim you have when you have reception outgoing calls can be barred.

I have been having problems today on o2 making calls and I make ALOT of them

Is it just in one area that you are having problems ?

Just done the reset with 12345 and it worked! But now the o2 sim has no reception before it did?

The o2 sim is my contract one so its fully working, whats wrong now? Phone is on o2 as well.

Tried T-Mobile and still no reception? Did I just mess things up?

EDIT: Tmobile is showing reception but still theres a beep and says call rejected.

I dont htink its the area both sims work on other phones and its central london so reception shouldnt be a problem.

I am calling the actual owner of this phone up but shes busy now may get a refund or something. I bought it off ebay and she has well over 200 feedback so I just think theres a genuine problem with the phone, cant be barred. Will have to wait and see.

Any other advice?

Sounds to me as though it's blocked, that's what happens when they block phones.
