i hope this is in the right place
i have a motorola v525
i have a bluetooth usb adapter
i can find my phone through the adapter on my comp
i can send files to phone but can't get anything from phone
do i need any other software to do it

Try sending things from your phone to your PC rather than trying to get them from your phone using your PC. I've always had problems with different phones on different PCs trying to do this, found Infra-red works much better.

the only thing is i don't have a clue how to do that

Theres 2 ways from the v525 i think, first select what u want tpo send to the pc ie photo hi light it and choose option to copy it will then prompt you to switch bluetooth on and it should go from there, or once connected if you go in via your bluetooth places and select phone and explore you should be able to see whats on the phone and copy it from there, but if i remember right the v525/600 you can double click anything it just crashes the programe so right click and choose options from there.

When you got the USB Bluetooth didnt it come with a CD to install once installed it should automatically find all bluetooth devices and let you transfer to from wherever.

you could always try reinstalling CD try different USB port.

has your phone got an IR? Just swicth it on on your phone stick it in front and your PC will find it then send files from one to the other

yes and it finds my phone no broblem but i can't download from phone
