they did thso for the mens hugo bos watches
which were in the boss shop in london for £350 but the first sampel off bid tv the auction closed at £89
they couldnt do anythign but sell it
but thats the commitment of the company
cust. service isnt too bad its just poor training some receive
and incidents are assigned elsewhere rather than to right dept
if you havent had your goods for a while call them
best times are during the week
but lines are open 9am-9pm
delayed stock is the main reason0 -
Have bourght a couple of things from them....one being a Hauck Travel Cot which I managed to get at £42 (plus £6 p&p), this was still £50quid cheaper than in the shops. And the quality is superb. The best way I've found is to bid on the web to your maximum price (its a bit like ebay - if the auction closes at a lower price than your bid, thats the price you pay).
Not sure what to do with my impulse purchase of an air assisted pogo stick though!!!Any fool can pay full price!!0 -
Obviously I must not watch these channels enough as IMHO, most of the items are cheap tat. The items which are not are generally available cheaper elsewhere (especially with the Premium rate Phone call and extortionate delivery Charges)0

Have just recieved a set of towels, I paid a little more than others at £23 plus £6.99 p & p. Great quality and being a first time house buyer I was shocked at towell prices! these are big, soft and cheap!!0

Postage used to be a lot cheaper (£3.95), still good deals to be had. Quality of stuff is usually very high. The Bath robe for £20 was easily a £100 one. A lot of the stuff they are shifting is manufacturers mistakes they can't shift so off load via bid-up where they can persuade you its good.
One thing, if you bid online you get lower preference than phone bidders so if you offer say £10 max and there are enough £10 phone bidders, they get it and you don't.
Strangely, 3 times when I have just missed out on an item I have had them phone me and say some people have refused to buy the item would I like it at the price I offered so I got it a bit cheaper than most!
The towels are nice but the largest most used bath sheet is not as big as it looks on TV with the shortish demo girls.
The digital video cameras and camcorders are rubbish toys you can get on ebay for £40.
Always check on the website previous auctions listing to see the lowest price the item went for in the past and pay no more, wait until the item has been offered a few times so most people that really want it have got one, then wait for a big quantity late night auction, avoid Friday/Saturday night as all the drunk people are bid happy and push prices up.

Never had any problems using either channel get quite a lot of the kids xmas pressies from them as well as stuff for the mrs and me.
Best bargain so far was a £500 Fila watch for me for £55 inc p&p ordered on boxing day and delivered before new year.0 -
Whatever you do, don't try to return anything to them. You'll be tearing your hair out!!!
My dinner service arrived with one piece broken. I was told that they could only replace the full set rather than an individual item, but couldn't collect the parcel for 2 weeks. Only once they receive the goods will they replace them.
They did not collect when arranged, nor did they the next time. They have hung the phone up on me twice when trying to arrange collection and supervisors have never returned my calls (you can't speak to them when you're already on the phone as they have a long list of people to call back apparently).
My parcel was collected 10 days ago and I have not yet been refunded (they've had my money since 18/01/05) - I gave up on a replacement.
Needless to say it is the first and the last time I will be using bid up.
p.s. I've just typed this whilst on hold while their customer service staff try to find a supervisor to sort this mess out.0 -
Er, long time ago when I was employed and affluent (?!), I accidentally "won" a duvet set. It was lovely, a good price, but I was a wally and hadn't checked the size - I should have looked for King Size, but bidded on Double. Still, it made a useful Christmas pressie for uni-bound neice!0

I've bought a couple of times from them - the last time a Bagpuss bedtime set - dressing gown, pyjamas and slipper socks for £30 including p+p - they are gorgeous and never seen them in any shops.Heard the Shaggy Taxi Wind Up Phone Call?
Visit my Shaggy videos on Youtube - search for Rhyburgh1 - now over 700,00 views - bring on the million!! Enjoy.0 -
I have bought loads of things from Bid TV and from Price-Drop TV ,all have been of the highest quality. I also bought the towels for £23 and have found them to be of very high quality. Last week I bid on a golf set from Warwick,I had never heard of them, but they are ideal for my 15 year old son. Wherelse could you get 3 clubs,putter,9 irons including sand wedge ,golf bag and rain cover for only £53 + post and packing. It cost my son £5 just for hiring some old clubs for a 9 hole course.
If you can always bid online , it is so much better than paying £1 a call.0
