    FYI I've been looking at browsers this week after some problems with Google Chrome (Shockwave Flash plugin failure). Chrome was very fast and appeared to have good memory management. So I went back to Firefox and had memory usage problems with this. So thought I'd try the new IE9 and I'm impressed. Memory management looks good...so far.

    Best advice, whichever browser you're using if you have limited memory, is to avoid too many tabs open at once.

    You need to reinstall IE, as it may screw up your Windows auto updates if not present.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
