this offer is dependant of coca cola, who will never put 2lt bottles on bogof, as they feel they dont need to, they sell more than enough without having to do bogof, so this is the closet you will see it, i suppose it guarantees that you pay for 2 bottlesTake every day as it comes!!0 -

Princess_Coupon wrote: »I wondered the same, £1.78 would work out at 89p a bottle!!! cheapest I've seen for well over a year. DH reckons it'll be at least £1.90, can anyone confirm the current price for a bottle.
Not really.
It was 3 for £3 the other week somewhere I can't remember - Netto's or Aldi I think.
£1 is my price point, and I never cross it.
£1.78 for a 2L bottle of coke - that's taking the P-I-S-S big time....
... It's just flavoured water, and 2L of Tesco's fizzy water has been consistently around 13p/2L bottle for a couple of years now - that will have comparable manufacturing, bottling and transport costs. The rest is all margin, corporate expenditure and Coke's gargantuan advertising budget, that people are suckered into paying for. I think Adsa/Tesco's cheapo Cola is < 30p/2L. The manufacturing equivalent of Soda fountain post mix cannot justify the excessive mark-up.
If Coke stays above my £1 price point, I'll just buy Pepsi as that is consistently around 75p/2L in Netto's with a BOGOF deal. I know Pepsi is for losers, but there is a recession on !!!!!! !0 -
Official MoneySavingExpert.com insert:
This deal will basically get you 4 bottles for £1.78. It's on till Sun 27 Mar at Morrisons stores nationwide, and is limited to 12 bottles (the deal bought 3 times) per customer. Many thanks to spaceman5 for the find.
No, you get 4 bottles for £3.56 (£1.78 x 2), which works out to 89p per bottle.0 -
