Just had a letter from talktalk saying they have been contacted by another supplier regarding moving my services and talk talk take this as my notification to cancel. So all seems to be moving in teh right direction atm.
Decided not to go through some cashback sites as I have had bad experiances in teh past using sites and companies that are not 'household' names. For example if I can get BB a pound cheaper from 'cheap BB 4 U' then I will pay the extra pound to be with 'Sky' , 'BT' etc. Silly old twit maybe, but I feel better and thats all that matters to me!.
FYI - I thought I would give a courtesy call to Talktalk to let them know I was leaving. They got quite pushy and rude and started slagging off other companies. SO my advise - if you decide to leave, dont bother talking to 'talktalk' to politely let them know you are leaving, just let the new supplier take the service.

Ok,
So I said I would give an update so here it is warts and all.
Phone connected on the 28th March. No BB / router recieved despite being told that I would suffer no break in service.
BB then got connected on 6th April
Router arrived on Saturday 9th April.
Had an issue where I suffered massive lag and after phoning Sky did a couple of things (basically swapped the filters to the old ones) and had no problems since.
I was frustrated with the break in service after being told there would not be one. Also was told that the router had been sent but they would send another (I still only recieved 1 and a different sky person said only 1 had been ordered).
All I will say is that the non UK based customer services lie through there back teeth, where the UK based ones tell you straight even if its not what you want to hear.
So overall, poor non UK based customer services caused stress that need not of been there. I suffered ~2weeks with no BB but I am more than happy with the reliability/UK based customer service I have recieved.
For anyone switching (and I assume this in reality applies to most providers) expect a break in service even if they say it will be continuous (phone was in my case).
For sky, chose the options from the customer service number that direct you to the UK call centres, you will get the truth that way (I used technical fault with line/BB). Any option that is regarding a query/service request will take you to an overseas call centre.
