TalkTalk vs SKY

Well as the ttiel suggests I am interested in the MSE forum population's opinion on talktalk vs SKY. Both offer a line rental, calls and BB package. So how do you find them. This is not just down to cost but attitude of staff if you have had to deal with them.

Here is my current experiance:

TalkTalk (I have BB and line with them currently)
- I have had rather rude member of staff when I refused to tie into a further 12month contract, this was froma cold call by them
- Pushy staff when I asked about deals, trying toforce me to make snap decitions
- Seem to be on hld or waiting to speak to a person for quite a while
- Current cost ~£22 for BB and line rental

SKY (Have tv service with them currently)
- Answer the phone prompty
- When I rang to reduce service in the past, staff were polite and not pushy
- Currently quoted ~£18 for BB and Line rental

Now it may look like I am biased but I am not, this is simply my experiance, hence I want your opinion before I make a decition to (probably) move to sky for BB and line.

Anti generic Sky / Talktalk crap is not helpful, try and keep on topic and give specific observations if possible.

Cheers,

Niv

Are they both LLU in your exchange (which will probably mean you will have to go via BT on a 'return to donor' basis for 12 months if/when you want to move)?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

How would I find that out? Nothing has been mentioned to me about this so I am assuming not at this time.

    Thanks for that link.

Yes they are both LLU at my exchange. Does that mean I have to go back to BT for a year then?

I have read that (uniquely, I think) Sky does accommodate LLU to LLU transfers but that's the problem, you won't know until you (have to) try!
