Cost of 4 tyres and Tracking

  • Only advice i'd offer is get the best tyres you can afford. They are tremendously important. The saving of £20-30 really nothing when you consider it's the difference between a destroyed car or possibly life.

True but many will not listen and simply buy the cheapest crap available.

I recommend Elite in Rainham, Essex. Good service, knowledge, 4 wheel laser alignment and prices within a few £'s of the internet sites.

Actually I have found Elite to be cheaper a lot of the time in my size 205/55/16 on a like for like tyre basis, however I only fit Toyos so perhaps they are undercut on some makes of tyre, though I was dissapointed to find they have put £5 on the price of Toyos in that size recently, a pain as I need to buy tyres soon.

Now watch Inactive and his merry men slag off Elite, as I must work their aswell, lol:rotfl:

I think Wig had the cheapest local tyre fitters, he beat everyone, but they're not close to me either.

Where was thatmikey, was it in London?

It would need to be near though as Elite are only a few miles from me.

However, the level of service you get at Elite would actually make up if they were a bit more expensive than some competitors.

The fact the are much cheaper is just an extra positive.

When compared to the Kwikfit and ATS branches locally I can't figure out how everybody doesn't just go to Elite.

How did you get the alignment done online?

Or do you mean you bought the tyres online and they where fitted locally.

Maybe it is because the majority of us are fortunate enough to not live in or near London.

What does your post have to do with the section of my post you have quoted?

Are you feeling ok, or are you missing your buddy, don't worry he and the rest of your "crew" will be along soon I am sure.

Just so as you know, since a large percentage of the country lives in London, you will find that any post that relates to London will be relevant for a large section of the forum.

Though why you have a downer on CarGiant which is based in London and you have probably never been there is a little bit puzzling.

    .

about 12.5%, and I'm one of the remaining 87.5%

    It's a big country past the M25.

(and I don't think Wig's tyrefitter is in London either, it's west of Watford)
