Cost of 4 tyres and Tracking

I wanted to know how much it usually can cost for a brand 4 new set of tyres complete with the tracking down as well, from an independant garage in London?

Just want to make sre that I have a rought figure of how much it is going to cost, so that I don;t end up getting ripped off.

tyres can go from £40 each to £000's

you can check tyre prices on the likes of my tyres,black circles but will pay more from a garage

Get your tyre size and check at black circles / etc like custardy says

IME independent garages have been very close to or beaten online prices though

check for tyres online you can book/order online for them to be fitted at garage near yooua nd normaly works out cheaper.

my car megane scenic has tyres 205/50 r16 i got 4 new plus alignment done for £170 online

£170 all in ?? what make are the tyres and where did you get them please - I pay more than that for a pair.

Last time I bought 205/55/16 I could've paid about £45 (£180) for ditchfinders or £55 (£220) for Kumhos.

I recommend Elite in Rainham, Essex. Good service, knowledge, 4 wheel laser alignment and prices within a few £'s of the internet sites.

they were from just tyres outlet store its an online shop and belongs to just tyres but they have a seperate web adress and its a garage based in leeds got chatting to guy that ran it and basically it was a branch of just tyres that wasnt doing well partly because of location so trhey turned it into a high turnover outlet store and made the tyres even cheaper. anyway tyres were champiro gt50 wich i new from previous expereince were ok and they used to be a mid range from kwikfit in past. anyway i could of got the tyres even cheaper if i wanted to they had em or i could of paid mroe. but having previous experience of the champiro tyres i went for them

oh and yes was all in i paid for tyres online but alignemn at garage
and this was last summer i got these.

Buying tyres is not just a price led purchase as you can buy crap or decent tyres. One is necessarily more expensive than the other.

Some places discount quite a bit if you get 4 tyres done where the calculation is not 4 x £xx

Only advice i'd offer is get the best tyres you can afford. They are tremendously important. The saving of £20-30 really nothing when you consider it's the difference between a destroyed car or possibly life.

How did you get the alignment done online?

Or do you mean you bought the tyres online and they where fitted locally.
