Sony Bravia KDL 4V-5810 BBCi Player

Help!! Had the set now for 6 months and when purchased was told I would receive BBCi Player. I have the set connected to E-plugs to the BT Home Hub. I managed to get iPlayer working once as I watched an episode of The Apprentice in HD. However I have since been unable to connect. The RED BUTTON service takes me to a coming soon screen!!
It frustrating as I know it HAS worked.
Any suggestions as to what I need to do settings etc?
Thanks in advance!

Not convinced you are quoting a valid model number.
Are you running the latest firmware on your TV?
If its a http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-KDL40V5810U-Widescreen-Installation-Recommended/dp/tech-data/B002ZB8TIC/ref=de_a_smtd
Then it does not have internet, only a network connection, presumably you could have the iplayer running on your PC and view the results on the TV via your home network.

Methinks it should read KDL40V5810 and the 5810 series received an update in September which messed up the red button / sports multiscreen and if the red button doesn't work properly it could be related. There are other threads on Digital Spy too. The only way to resolve the problem is to go back to where you bought it for a repair under warranty which will require the fitting of a new mainboard. I had my KDL40W5810 repaired 2 weeks ago.
