Yes Buster, ignore it, nothing will happen.0

Buster,
You've made a mistake - replying to the first letter.
The parking scammers take that as a 'bite'.
They know they've got you worried, so they will hassle you all the more.
Happily, you can correct your error.
Don't ever contact them ever again.
They will go away eventually.0 -
Thanks for all your replys. It's really worrying when you recieve a letter like this. C.C.L. Yes that's them..... have you received any more letters from them? Just so I know what to look out for in the future and to prepare my Mum? Thanks again everyone xx
Just look out for any other letters and file them unless they include sealed Court papers (very rare and very defendable as they do not have the driver's details so there's no case for your Mum to answer).
Typical letters from PPCs and various debt collectors (and Solicitors who are desperate for work) are shown on this thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2214803
However it seems our records of CP Plus letters are incomplete even though I know there have been lots of people on these forums who have ignored Trethowans letters. Can anyone help by sending Crabman pics of the Trethowans letter-chain please?
Here is one letter I found linked to an old pepipoo thread:
http://www.megadealhosting.com/car2.jpg
And here's some posted on an old CAG thread:
http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?154231
Which I got from this Google search which has lots of forum results:
LetmeGooglethatforYou
Anyway the main thing is NOT TO REPLY, NOT TO PANIC, NOT TO PAY!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, not sure where to post this but its a similar issue... any advice would be appreciated.
Fine from Vehicle Control Services Ltd.
I have recently been slapped with a private parking fine at an entertainment/leisure centre (restaurants/cinema) - £120 or £80 if paid within 7 days. I drove around the entire parking lot trying to find an empty space to which there was none, therefore I parked on a curb edge allowing enough space for cars to get around (I have done this previously before and many other cars do the same on numerous occasions). This entertainment centre has been like this for years and has never increased parking spaces. I am certain this centre has cctv.
The ticket states “If the costs are not received within this notice period you will be liable for any costs incurred through debt recovery and/or court enforcement”
“Vehicle keepers should be aware that their name and address may be requested from the DVLA”
Firstly, I don’t think I should pay due to the lack of car parking spaces available.
Secondly, I think the amount charged it extortionate!
Reading the guide advises to ignore the matter which I am happy to do, although I can’t really afford to pay court fees or debt recovery agents if it goes that far…
I would appreciate any ones thoughts on this…0 -

Buster23,
Ignore CP Plus and their scummy solicitors.
I had 3 letters from CP Plus with all their usual self important guff in them. Who the hell do these crooks think they are? They are nothing more than aggressive beggars who target those who they think they can intimidate.
Ignore them in the same way you would an arrogant oik asking you for money in the street.
Its been a few months since I last heard from these sacks of 5h1t.
Ignore them.0 -
UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE ***UPDATE***
I first received the letter from Trethowans on the 18th March 2011 informing me that if I had not "replyed to their letter within 7 days, then failure to do so may result in furter action being taken against me."
We are now on the 10th April 2011 and so far I have not heard anything from them........ fingers x'd!!0
